When I first arrived in August, I expected seventh grade to be a nightmare. But I soon realized: it wasn’t that bad. Now, I can proudly say that so far seventh grade has been the best year of my life.
By October, I felt pretty good about seventh grade. I enjoyed the classes. I enjoyed the classes I was taking a lot, and I had excellent teachers.Eventually, I got into a routine. I’m now very comfortable and will miss my teachers when I’m gone.
In seventh grade, I learned so much more about music, and I’ve gotten way better, which I’m very proud of. I’m also very happy about science this year. I’ve always been interested by the body, and that’s what seventh grade science is all about. I had a great year of science with fun lessons about the anatomy of a human. Finally, I am also very proud of my French class. Foreign languages have always interested me and I’m glad I took it.
As the year comes to a close, I’m glad that summer is here, but I’ll be happy about what I learned remember the times with my friends at school.
My only advice to next year seventh graders: you will have more homework, so prepare, and try your hardest. Seventh grade is not an easy year. Good luck.

Leadership is a quality that people need as a race. We need someone to take up the torch and light the way for us. But in order to be successful, these people need many qualities. One of them is responsibility. This is a very important part of leadership. As a leader, you have to do your duty and guide others, make good decisions, and take the fault as your own when something goes wrong. Good leaders also keep their responsibility to themselves, not letting their stress show to their people. This makes a leader excellent, because they can appear confident out wards so their people will be hopeful. However, even a leader sometimes needs guidance. You should have a person you can talk to about your doubts and worries since you don’t display them to the people you’re leading. With determination, anyone can become a leader. So the question is: who will take the role and who won’t?

The i Poem

“Young Poets Network.” Young Poets Network Good Things Small Packages the Second Foyler August Challenge Comments. N.p., n.d. Web. 24 Apr. 2014.

There are a lot of poems out there. Some are old, some are new. Some are complex, some are simple. Some are long, and some are short. Well, it so happens my favorite poem is the shortest poem in the world. The poem is just an i.
Now I know what you’re thinking: That isn’t a poem, but it is. It may be short, but it has a lot of symbolism in it. It is very simple yet genius. The author created a single i and dotted it with his own fingerprint, which means it can only be HIS i. It is the shortest poem in existance but it is made by a famous author and is very highly valued for its meaning and the simplicity it comes in. That is mainly why I appreciate it. Most poems to me say weird things that just don’t sound right to me, or the message just doesn’t speak to me, but this one does. It’s so unique and cool, and I understand it. The author must virtue simplicity; I like that a lot.

“ICHEG Online Collections.” 110.5293: Nintendo Wii Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. N.p., n.d. Web. 10 Apr. 2014.

When I was young, I HAD to have my lego Star Wars video game. I treasure the nostalgic memories it brings me. I remember playing it every day, the hours ticking by as I absorbed myself into it. It was my favorite at the time.
I can’t count how many days I sat at my game cube, plowing through the game I’ve already completed for the fiftieth time and searching for secrets and achievements, getting all the characters.
That’s why the game my game was so cherished. Even though I did eventually tire of it, sometimes I long to sit in front of my game cube, playing through the story again. But that’s what makes memories so special, the yearning and remembering of the good old times.

Footsteps resounded throughout the house as my dad approached the kitchen. Little did I realize I was about t learn one of the biggest lessons or my life.
I sat on couch, obliviously watching T.V. as my dad lumbered into the kitchen. “Come, Aldan,” he said. My heart played tag with my throat. His tone of voice was all to familiar. I was in trouble.
“Sit down,” my dad commanded, in his infuriatingly monotone voice, his eyes infinite black pools of depth. I take a seat, my heart slamming into my rib cage. He produces multiple pieces of paper. “Your grades aren’t on par,” he stated. “What?” I explode. “My grades are fine, what are you talking about?” He brandishes the paper he has grasped in his old, rough, calloused hands. He shows a few papers with lacking grades on them. “To learn to try your best on your work, you are grounded for a week. No games. No T.V.” That sentence completely obliterated me. It wasn’t fair. It was only a few grades, I would try harder next time. But it was too late. The fire cackled with laughter, licking at the scorching wood. I screamed in frustration-This would be a long week.
Looking back, I realize I was foolish for not putting effort into my work. I chose to be lazy and I paid the price. I learned to put 100% effort into everything I do, which I now apply to my life everyday, like right now. I now know I will never make that mistake again.

One thing I’d like to inform you about is where I live and why I like it here. I live in Austin, Texas. One thing that is cool about here is that Austin has TONS of celebrations and events to go to, especially music. Austin is actually the live music capitol of the world! If I were as in to music as some people, then I could go find concerts everywhere! So if you like concerts like these, you should come down to Austin.
The second thing that’s cool about Austin is that Austin has tons of activities! There are tons of flash mobs that make the city really chaotic at times! In case you don’t know what a flash mob is, it is basically where LOTS of people get together and do a random, fun event! I was in one once! In the city, one of my parent’s close friend organized a flash mob and I was in it! It was a massive water gun fight that took place across 2-3 streets! Everyone who wasn’t participating was just staring and watching the huge crowd of people douse each other and laughing. Another group of people thought it would also be funny to do random things in the middle of the flash mob as well. I remember there was a man in a bunny suit who kept running across the street shouting and hopping during the event. It was chaotic and funny! If you like cool activities and music, come on down to Austin. You won’t regret it!

Hello people, and welcome to this week’s champion showcase! This week, I’m featuring Mordekaiser, the Master of Metal. Mordekaiser is a high damage spell casting champion. He can use his passive to suck up damage with dealing lots in return.

Mordekaiser Passive: Iron Man – 35% of the damage Mordekaiser does with his abilities is converted into a temporary shield. The shield’s full capacity increases as Mordekaiser levels up. The shield also decays by 3% per second.

Mordekaiser Q: Mace of Spades – Mordekaiser enhances his next attack, converting it to deal extra magic damage. On his next attack, he swings his mace with such force that it echoes out, striking up to 3 additional nearby targets. If the target is alone, the ability deals 65% more damage.

Mordekaiser W: Creeping Death – Mordekaiser creates a protective cloud of metal shrapnel to surround an ally or himself for 6 seconds, increasing the target’s armor and magic resistance and damaging nearby enemies.

Mordekaiser E: Siphon of Destruction – Mordekaiser afflicts all enemies in a cone in front of him, dealing magic damage.

Mordekaiser R/Ultimate: Children of the Grave – Mordekaiser afflicts his target, instantly dealing magic damage equal to a percentage of the target’s max health. He then curses it for 10 seconds. The target takes additional magic damage over this duration. If the target dies while under the duration of this curse, their soul is enslaved as a controllable ghost and will follow Mordekaiser for 30 seconds and disappear, or until it is killed.

Class, take out your pencils! Wait-I don’t have a pencil… Again. Having school supplies is important!
For instance, school tells everyone that pencils are required every day. Say you were to come to class and have no pencil. How would you write and keep track of what you’ve learned? I would have a hard time! It’s your responsibility to have and know where your supplies are (not your mom).
Furthermore, without a binder, your papers would fly everywhere, and you’d have a flotilla of flying papers! You’d also have no place for your precious pencils-Organization is futile! If you were at an office when you had a job, and your files fell apart, and all the important papers spewed all over the place, how would you feel? How would your organized co-workers think of you? Nobody wants that kind of Humiliation. Having a binder, or any type of organization system is ESSENTIAL.
Throughout the day, school supplies are essential for learning. There for, you should always be ready for class. Hm…I wonder if we could have all our books, too.

Hello, everyone! Welcome to this week’s champion spotlight! This week, featuring Irelia, the Will of the Blades. Irelia is a high damage bruiser assassin-like champion. She can take a few hits and wreak havoc in fights since it is hard to lock her down and she can sustain herself.

Irelia Passive: Ionian Fervor – For each nearby enemy champion, Irelia reduces the duration of stuns, slows, taunts, fears, snares, immobilizes, blinds and silences.

Irelia Q: Bladesurge – Irelia dashes forward to strike her target, dealing physical damage. If bladesurge kills the target, its cooldown instantly refreshes and refunds part of the mana cost.

Every time you press R, you fire a spirit blade in the direction of your cursor, dealing physical damage to all enemies it passes through. Irelia is healed for 25% of the damage dealt to champions and 10% of the damage dealt to minions and monsters.
